One of my experience of the Allegory of the Cave happened when I was a high school student. My mother prohibits me to play Basketball because she said that it'll cause me harm, but when I tried to play Basketball I got interest on it and I keep on practicing till I got better. I told my mother that Basketball is fun but she say that you'll be happy but your going to get hurt. She's allowing me to play but she always remind me what might happen when I play Basketball.(Cramps, Fractures, etc.)

One of my experience of the Allegory of the Cave is when I was in High School. in my fourth year in high school my parents tell me that i should not join in Varsity ( volleyball varsity) because my parents told me that my studies will be affected if i join the varsity. but i prove to them that they are wrong. In the end of the year my study in high school is wonderful because I excel both in academic and co-curricular activity. In academic i rank no.4 in our school standing and in varsity i get the award "athlete of the year". :) that's why my parents treat me because i prove to them that they are wrong (^_^)

One of my experience of the Allegory of the Cave happened when we where on a vacation in our province. My Lola said "Son you're too young to climb that tall tree." but I said "Lola don't worry I can handle it, Kuya taught me how to climb."
Before I had a accident in climbing a tree, and I got my injury in my left hand, and its hard to do things, that's why my Lola are very angry when I want to climb on it.
After I reach my goal, my Lola never let me t try it again. She's always want to take cafe of me. ;)

My own experience of allegory of the cave was when my dad did not allow me to join the varsity in high school. Because he said that i cant focus on my studies. I join the varsity and i stay late at night to read book in order for me to understand the topics i missed. After high school i proved to my dad that i can study and play ball at the same time. :)

My personal experience about the allegory of the cave happened last year. I spend my whole summer vacation in front of my laptop. Eating, texting, watching some Korean movies. Then my mother warned me,"If you still spending your summer just in front of your gadgets, you're gonna have Blurred Vision." But I, didn't obey her. Now, I can't live without my eye glasses.

My own experience of allegory of the cave during the summer. My cousin wanted to go Tutuban mall but I told her to don't bring the i-phone and more money but she reject my opinion. After six hours, she came in her house and I found out the her bag with i-phone and other things was taken by two unknown guys. I very thankful that nothing bad happen her and Because of that, She never bring anything expensive thing when she leaving the house.

My personal experience about the allegory of the cave happened when i am only just a 8 or 9 years old back then my aunt has a house in valenzuela it is a small house with only 1 window it is more likely a dorm house . inside is very dark especially the lights was to high for me to reach (remember i was only 8 yrs old back then so i am only 3-4 feet) 1 day my father decided to visit my aunt so i force my dad to accompany him because im am too curious back then since i am only a kid and i hunger for knowledge then my father left me with my aunt for a while for he has some important matters to do after a couple of minutes without doing something except for watching boring cooking shows my aunt is wathcing i have seen a door with a very mysterious aura 1st i decided to peek on it then my aunt scolded me and she said "stop dont go there there is a mananangal there! kakainin k niyan loko mahilig yan sa bata!" back then i dont know what is the meaning of mananangal then my auntie taught me what that is i am starting to get really afraid but then after a little while my head is never stopping to bother me of what is inside there its like the door itself is saying "pumasok kana at tignan moko..... ng malaman mo anu meron dito" after a while when my aunt went to the cr i decided to sneak on her and run and open the mysterious door even though i am really afraid but still my curiosity overcomed my cowardliness and then it happen i went to that mysterious door and open it inside is cold and very very dark smells like "alimuong" and then there is a hair like thing and then my aunt notice i have went there and she shouted "hala ung manananggal!" and then i was very afraid i run on the stairs unfortunately i fell down my i was crying becaause of pain my 3 front teeth has been detached i was crying very loud my aunt is very anxious of what happen and then that was my story evrey time we remembered that and recalling that day with my tita we always laugh on the irony what happen o if youre wandering what is that hair like thing it is only a map use dor cleaning floors use by a janitor. thanks a lot for reading i am glad i have shared this with you.

My experience of allegory happened last 2 year. Every summer we didn’t go for a vacation so we tried to have a vacation in our province that time. But my brother and I can’t go with them because we still have class for that week. Because of that, my mother didn’t want to have a vacation anymore because she doesn’t believe that we can survive without her because we are so lazy and don’t know how to cook. I convince her to just go and well take care of the house and ourselves. And I spent my week with my brother at home. We learn to be independent that time and to cook. But because were so lazy, we eat noodles for a week and my mother doesn’t know about it. After that, my mother always trusts us now that we can take care of the house.

My experience of allegory of the cave . is when I’m a high school student I told my cousin to practice drinking beer so that we’re ready to celebrate after graduation, then he disagree because he want to be a good boy. Until his parents celebrates his birthday, his father told him to drink and then I said “yeah try to drink man it will make you feel better, but just drink moderately because when you drink strong, you will not feel better when you wake up.”
Then he drink, and he like it. Now he’s the one who invite me to come to his house and drink some beer.

So, the result of the tournament is we placed as 3d place. still not a champion but we are happy.

My experience of allegory is, way back in high school, we are graduating student that time. We are playing basketball, our gadgets is on the bench, no one is sitting beside our things, when all of the sudden, one of our classmate noticed that his ipod was missing(wondering). We rush to the guidance office to report the missing ipod of my classmate. but the verdict of the owner is that, it was stolen. how can that be?. the guidance councilor summoned us in the office to explain what are the consequences of that incident.they give us 2 options,to pay for it or be ready not to graduate(cruel).so we have decided to pay for it instead of not graduating. So now, I am avoiding/careful borrowing things from my friends so that it won't happen again.

and I accept it. In that time I was so curios what is the feeling of being drunk,so I drink over my limit. All of us where so happy and noisy. One of the neighbor were disturb and shoot a warning shot, telling us to home. It's like if we will disobey him he will shoot us.I was so scared at that moment and telling myself not to drink liquor anymore, specially when it is to late.

One of my experience of the allegory of the cave is when my mother eagers me to join the chess competition. At that time I was too lazy to practice, because I really don't want to join. When the day of the competition comes, I expect to lose but I'm surprised that I won the championship in our grade :))

One of my experience of allegory of the cave is when I didn't expected to passed the subject in vector and graphics because I wasn't able to submit some of the final projects that our professor required us to submit. And when I was able to login in the OSES, i was so shocked when I saw the pre-requisite subject of the vector and I suddenly shouted and rejoice in our house.

One of my experience of the Allegory of the Cave when I was in 4th yr high school. I'm a volleyball varsity, it happens when my classmates told me that we can't win any of our match in the tournament. But I say to them that any thing is possible. After 1 week and 4days. I came back to school with a gold medal and a large trophy. I went to school with a big smile because we did it "To Be A Champion".

    Allegory of the cave

My allegory of the cave, happens during my second year highschool, it is when everyone I knew even my family says that it is impossilbe for me to lose weight, due to my not stop over eating in short "walangtigilnakatakawan" but because of my determination I prove to them that It is not impossilbe for me to lose weight everyone I knew that who haven't saw me for a long time was surprised that I lose weight from 230 down to 175lbs.I proved to them that it is not impossible for me to lose weight. For me nothing is impossible just work hard for the things you want to achieve in life. Just a little inspiration, faith and determination can help you achieve your goals and dreams in life. Just be sure that your dreams is really meant for you.

  24. one of my experiences of the allegory of the cave is when i was still on elementary, my father was so strict to me and often times doesn't allow me to have overnight with my friends. but one day i accidentally read my father and mother's text conversation. it is my mother whom is being strict to me and my father is always the front. what i have been perceiving is not the reality back then.

One of my experience of the Allegory of the Cave when my I force my mother to join the Jamboree of boy scout of the Philippines. But he said it is dangerous. I told her to learn household activities and experience how to be a boy scout. When the Jamboree is finished. I have earned so many lessons and I was so very happy. Because of that experience can help me achieve my goals and dreams in life. :)

My most significant experience with the allegory of the cave is when I first entered college which was going from high school is a very different experience. From my reality when I study for an exam I usually do it in the night before but in college you really have to study in advance because there are so many topics that are covered. I am student for as long as I remember but I felt completely indifferent when I went to college and the reality that I believed when I was in high school was tested and demoralized.

Fortunately I have only experienced distraught in my first few months but I quickly adjusted to the then different reality that I saw which was college. I now focus more on my priorities and less in my nonsense activities.

Because of this realization i was able to figure out that what i really want in life and how will i be able to achieve it.

My personal experience of the Allegory of the cave, when I was in elementary and high school I excelled in my studies. I do not have honors but I am always praise by teachers and mentors that I am a really intelligent guy but at the same time a lazy person. Until I reached college, before I study here in FEU-EAC, I enrolled in Mapua because me and my family wanted it and they have a high expectation for me. But I got failing marks because I slack off and then don't prioritize my objectives. So I stopped schooling for a year, worked for my aunt and learned many things that helped to become a better person, I can say that I've grown but I got a long way to go. And now I'm studying here in FEU-EAC the previous term I didn't get any failing mark and I have to be consistent, this time I won't let them down.

**In know way am I writing this to convert anyone's religion**

My personal experience of "Platos Cave Allegory" was that, I come from what used to be quite a religious family, my parents used to be quite strict Catholics, They had brought me up believing only in God and that I was restricted to the ways of the Bible.

How ever As I grew up, I had questioned myself various different things, in Regards to this path (Which I wont mention in respect to others religions), and found that there was no clear answer in my point of view. So I eventually started reading about different "Ways of life" and came across Taoism, which I found suited more of my personality.

Since then I have still been trying to understand the concept of Taoism and happy of the changes it brought in my life.

    Thanks :)

My personal experience about the Allegory of the Cave happened 3 years ago. My hobbies are surfing the net, texting, and joining clans.I spend all my time in texting and surfing. Then suddenly, My mother warned me (don't spend all your time in texting and surfing, because it can affect your studies.) But I didn't listen to my mother. Instead, I continue what I'm doing, I spend more time in texting and surfing than studying. Then one day, I saw my grades. My grades fell down. My mother is disappointed in me. And because my grades fell down and I didn't listen to her. I learned that i have to study hard, to achieve my goals/dreams. So I limited my time in texting and surfing, and spend more time in studying. Now, I'm very glad that my grades now is satisfying.

My personal experience about the Allegory of the Cave happened last term. I told my dad that my one subject is so hard that I think I cannot pass it because I missed one quiz. But he told me that I can pass that subject if I will review my lessons and practice solving. But I lose hope to pass that subject because I missed one quiz and I know one quiz is very important. I already accepted that i will not pass. I did not do my best to pass that subject. I didn't follow my dad what he told me. So now I'm sacrificing to take that subject again. :(

One of my experience about the Allegory of the cave is when me and my other groupmates are taking System Analysis and Design as Computer Science, we thought that we could'nt finish our system but we tried our best to finish it and defend it. After we defend our system, I thought that i would fail on that subject and when I saw my grades, I got 3.5 for the final grade. I am so grateful that we passed the subject because we are the only group created a system some of the other group created a game program.

One of my experience of the Allegory of the Cave was when i was in highschool. I live in Cavite. My parents always remind me not to stay outside of the house on or after 10 pm. They said it's not safe.
Before going home, me and my friends went to one of our friend's house. We stayed there until...i forgot that i should be home at 7 pm. It's already 8 pm so i told my peers that i should be leaving. After readching the main gate of the subdivision, i rode(Tama ba? HAHA.) a bus. After getting off, i checked my wallet because i was about to ride two tricycles(one after another) to reach home. Shoot! I realized my money was not enough to reach the other tricycle terminal. I had no choice but to let the driver take me as far as my money pays him. Unlucky me, the driver brought me to the road leading me to the next tricycle terminal via "The Dark Bridge"(the name was made up by myself). This is what my parents were telling me; it's dangerous at a time like this: Stray dogs, drunk bullies, bullies, thieves, etc. Rumor has it that some people died there before and haunts whoever sets on foot and goes through it. i crossed it nervously while keeping myself distracted by Paramore playing on my phone. Thanks to God and Hayley's beautiful voice, i was able to cross it. After that, i just remembered that there are many stray dogs at night in our place. I prayed and i reached home safe and sound.

Now, i'm not scared of dogs(dogbites and dog-chase), drunk bullies, bullies, and snatchers, go home very late or whatever anymore. I'm not even afraid of getting lost in Manila.(Not that i'm boasting around.)
    Thanks.
Sorry for the long post and bad english. :D

My personal experience about the allegory of the cave

The time I started my college here in FEU – East Asia College, I’ve gain so many failing grade because in my high school time I am an easy go lucky guy. Submitting a project without thinking is it wrong or right, doing activities the same process as the project, etc. But still I’m passing I don’t know why. And I thought it was the same in FEU – East Asia College.

My personal experience of "Allegory of the Cave" was:

It was one of the things that I would not forget about my life. It was the time when I started to doubt to pursue my first course in college. I was formerly a student of MIT(Mapua Institute of Technology) as a Civil Engineering student. Civil Engineering was my First choice besides Architecture and then when I was on my Third Year on college, I started to like some other course, I was doing a research about some other course that would possibly be much better in the future for me then comes the course ECE(Electronics and Communication Engineering), I was amazed on my research about this course, It made me realize that I could perhaps be an ECE rather than CE. But looking at my Standing, I'm on my Third year, Majoring days of my college life. I could pursue my CE course and finish it, but I really like ECE most. So I made a tough decision by choosing ECE instead of CE. At first, I was afraid that I had made a wrong decision, that maybe ECE is not for me. But now I'm an ECE student of FEU-East Asia College and I'm starting to like my life here in FEU-EAC and I'm really doing well.

Things really do came without you noticing that it already passes.

One of my own experience concerning the allegory of the cave happened when i was grade 3 student. It was summer back then when i decided to enter a summer basketball class so i could be a player someday; but my mom keeps on insisting that i should enter a taekwondo summer class. I fought for my will and entered basketball, i became a varsity when i reached grade 5 and i recieved the Most Valuable Player award for basketball and volleyball when i graduated highschool. My mom then became very proud of me :)

My own experience on "Allegory of the Cave" is the time when I did not expect to pass my economics subject last term. All of the scores of my quizes are just beneath the passing score, but still I passed. I was so happy when I checked it online that my grade was 2.0. Another experience is when I won the best lead guitarist on the battle of the bands when I was on high school.
