I can best associate myself with the theory of Erikson particularly the stage of young adulthood, this is because I am in the stage of either being isolated from relationships or facing the challenge of intimacy.
I would say, “Yes!” i did experience undergoing all the stages of development by Sigmeund Freud. I say that the processes involved are natural and hereditary. By having undergone all processes, we can experience the benefit of having a normal life. From the oral stage, the behavior was carefully studied and examined. The natural phenomenon of life from its humble beginnings up to now. Also, genital stage was taken good consideration on the context. There are psychological feelings and emotions towards the peer group or the family. The tructural behaviorism of an individual is clearly applied. It changes not just the physical and tangible assets and differences, but also the way we think also matures. Presently, i’m past puberty, i’m now 18 of my adolescence. I can see how the stages nurtured me and affected my way of living. Yes, it holds a vital part in everyone’s life, because these is the core, the foundation by which man becomes a productive member of society.

I compare myself to others who are inlove based on what melissa balaccua said a while ago she's isolated from relationship, for me im crazy when im inlove, and i know it's being part of maturity.
I assume that I myself can correlate the Theory of Development according to Erik H. Erikson. This theory is said to be the course of development is determined by the interaction of the body, mind, and cultural influences. Our personality traits come in opposites said by Erickson that is why he organized life into eight stages that extend from birth until death. I am living in this world for about 18 years now I experienced most of the stages Erikson enumerated. When I was young I learned to trust and build my self-esteem that made me confident enough to face the world. It also reminded me that most of the time I asked my parents about something and said “why”. I also acquire many skills and knowledge as I grew up. Now I am half of the stages of development and I actually discovering myself as an individual that is separated from my family and as a member of a bigger society. I see myself with my friends and peer groups and mostly depend on what is done for me :)
I’ve been living for 19 years and I can say that as days goes by there are changes that I experienced. I choose Sigmund Freud’s 5 stages of development to explain things take place as I grow up. My mother told me, that when I was a baby, since I am the eldest child, she had me a breast feed. I was born in province so the way of growing a child is different. I have my grandmother who taught my mother what to do. And when it comes on the milk that I take, she recommended my mother to have a breast feeding rather than to have bottle milk. I can say that I have been satisfied with this stage because I did not encounter overeating or even alcoholism. From ages 1 to 3, Anal stage, I still remember that when I always go to bathroom, it is my mother who cleans the mess. I will not go outside the comfort room if she will not go and clean it for me. I guess I’ve been a brat those days. But I can say that, I grow up being generous since I start to have a younger sister. And that is what my parents taught me to be. From ages 3 to 6, Phallic stage, the stage when the child desires the parent of the opposite sex. I guess I wasn’t able to encounter this one or I just forgot it, but I’m think I really not have a possession with a parent. From ages 6 to 11, Latency stage, it is the start of going far from our home. I start to go to elementary and meet new people and start to have friends. We go to the open field, and play when it is break time. Sometimes I got angry when I’ve been trick by a friend, and I say that it is not fair. Oh well, I guess that is the effect for being in this stage, possessing self-control Puberty stage, it the stage where the child focus on the opposite sex. I used to say that I will not want to have a boyfriend, but because of the changes happening I can say that I was wrong to say that thing. Based from what I had read on some articles about Erick H. Erickson. He concludes that social and cultural is a big influence on development of an individual. Erick Erickson saw a crisis as struggle between attaining some adaptive psychological quality versus failing to obtain it. Individuals negotiate each stage by developing a balance, or ratio, between the two qualities for which that stage is named. Successful negotiation of a stage, however, does imply that the balance is weighted more toward positive value than the negative value. And therefore I assume that I’m currently experiencing the 5th Stage of psychosocial stages (Identity vs. Role confusion) where as a typical teenager would work on refining the sense of self. Somehow I realize things about my identity; I began to ask myself things like “what are the things I would do for the sake of impressing my friends? Because I learned that in this stage, peer pressure is one of those factors that will lead to the negative side of this stage. In order to be in a particular social group, a teenager would adjust or change himself to the extent that he’s trying to be someone he is not for the sake of being “IN” to that group. They would particularly follow a trend for them to be socially accepted. Though the identity diffusion of a person can affect the its relation from others, still some would try to be committed in a group. From what I had experience, I didn’t had a hard time adjusting from who I was when I’m a thomasian, because one factor that helped me to appreciate and love my new alma matter was to learn to be fully committed and be proud from who I am today. Then everything just falls into its place just the way I prefer it. For example my new set of friends, though I miss my thomasian friends I learned to appreciate the little things that may lead to getting to know them. Each stage of development contributes its own unique virtue to the human personality and I think the best thing that contributes on the human personality on the adolescent stage is commitment.
