As a student, sociology matters in the process of education. It is not just about the knowledge, but also to develop social life. Encountering people who are different from us reminds us of how they shape our lives. In school, you have to understand why people behave such that, why they talk that way, and so on. But, it doesn't end on it; you have to accept them despite of differences. If you can't do this, then you can't be able to gain friends. In sociology we can be aware about the problem of relationship between society and the individual. We will be able to know why differences exist, and it is because of different cultures and origin. Within the classroom, there are several students and each one of us is different from one another, by means of province, language, traditions, beliefs, religion and behaviour. These past few weeks of second term, we were briefed about the course sociology and here I have learned that sociology is a detailed study about the human society, their interactions, reactions and their development cycle pertaining to the society. This is also helpful to mankind as it explains several behavioral aspects of human behavior and also explains how human beings behave under common circumstances.
While tackling these things one quotation entered into my mind and this is “no man is an island” which was said by John Donne for it justifies what was said that the core of sociology is man and the life of every man revolves on the society where he/she lives in. Before enrolling this course I am already satisfied with the knowledge I have about the society but as I continue undertaking the subtopics I have learned that I still lack a lot of important things to take note to have a better understanding on every people that I may encounter. Honestly speaking, I take sociology for granted for I didn’t think that through sociology a lot of factors, actually most of them, was affected by it like religion, beliefs, morals, economic, political and even on the simple issues we may have in our own lives also with how people think is based on their knowledge about sociology. Now after having a few discoveries about sociology deepen my perception in life, it isn’t just a simple interrelation with other people rather it infers how people may think through their simple gestures, actions, sayings or principles in life. It is no longer the mere socializing to other people because of having fun with them but also taking note of the factors influencing the person for this may affect the relationship and interactions with the person.

My expectation of this course is to be an eye opener with regards to the society that I have lived in but as time goes by, it has already exceeded my expectation as we discuss every meeting all the vast concepts of society and how they are interrelated to one another. Sociology teaches me about theories and principles in life and perspective of philosophers regarding their view with the society. Moreover, these teachings can further improve my relationship with other people and create a huge impact about my everyday life through the changes in the way I think or perceive people, things, events and etc. It also enlightens me about the reason why other people may have this kind of point of view towards a subject matter or the way they react about their surroundings.

Life as we all know it is a continual change proceeding to death, but it is a state of aspect that a human being should enjoy each and every moment of their time together with the one they love.
Sociology gives me more knowledge in precise, but it so hard to say that I was blown into different direction in which I was now on a severe mode of my circumstances. My life as a student is just like what other does. It is just a matter of survival. There are times that too many people will come to our way and got social inter-act with them, yet mingling with them might adopt their culture too without any noticing it, in fact we become just one of them “hell yea men, welcome to the group”. Students who have that kind of scenario will trigger a lot of problem in the process. I remember my Dad told me, “bring your friends here, and I tell you, who you really are now!” I was extremely intense and frightened that day if they will know such thing that they didn’t know about me. I’m just lucky having a parent that will always there to guide me. Sociology does me some concerns with the social rules and processes that bind and separate people not only as individuals, but as members of associations, groups, and institutions. Sociology is very important to us, humans. It has a great impact especially to the students like us. Sociology is the study of society. As we understand sociology, it can help us to know and live to what we called society. It will allow us to deal even better with the people surrounding us. It would allow us to understand why could be the possible reason why a person deals with other person in that way. Sociology teaches about why does a person act in such way. It has an impact to me because I have a problem dealing with other people because I don’t know any idea in Sociology. I expect that I would make up with this problem as I study Sociology this term. It has a great impact simply because sociology is the foundation on maintaining positive relationship with other humans on our environment
Sociology (in the sense in which this highly ambiguous word is used here) is a science which attempts the interpretive understanding of social action in order thereby to arrive at a causal explanation of its course and effects. It has a great impact to our lives because it teaches us how to deal with the other people or society, it also helps us to deal with the society depending on their environment, culture, and many other things. Sociology also talks about on how we deal with the social life of other people, personality, behavior and many more things.
Sociology is a social science and it talks about society. Studying sociology has a huge process because this needs investigations and analysis for every individual as they behave in a group. As a student, this subject gives a great role in terms of socializing with other people. In my case, im an irregular student and i really need this ideas to gain more friends and be compatible with any student that i will meet. According to Anthony Giddens, sociology is the study of human social life, groups in societies. As a student, the impact of sociology for me has many significant things to absorb and to apply in real life. A school is an example of a small society. We might met different kinds of attitudes of people.
While I socialize in school, at the same time I am trying to observe the attitudes of the people I am with. Because we need to know their mindsets, likes, dislikes and interests. We need to accept what attitude/personality they have. Because if we do not accept the personality they have,there are some things that are not agreeable because of different visions or own understanding. And also, as we socialize, we are able to adapt some attitude from that society because of being always together until it creates a concept called harmony and develop in a small society called SCHOOL. But in some cases,we can not avoid discriminating each other. It's because of their different place of origin and maybe their culture. That thing creates an expression, "ugali mo talaga asal.." that defines that "I don't like what you did, and don't do that anymore." These line I commonly heard in groups of friends(barkada) that considering each other more than friends. or in filipino, (hindi na iba). In conclusion, in meeting other people, be neutral. Be equal. Socialize as if you can jive on their likes. In simple word, sociology is about man's role in a certain place. You can find the level of a person in a given society. And that's my view to Sociology. Sociology is defined in many terms but for me, the best definition would be it is the study of the behavior of society. It explains several behavioral aspects of human behavior and also explains how human beings behave under common circumstances. In this subject, I would learn how to deal with different characteristics of people that surrounds me. As a student, specifically an irregular type, most of the time I would not know who my classmates are as a new term starts so I should learn how to deal with in order for me not to be out of place in their class. Secondly, I will be an IT professional when I graduate; the environment is larger and has more people to deal with. The most important thing that sociology will teach me is being an understanding individual.
Being an irregular student is very challenging. First, I would not know who my classmates are and worse is if I do not know anyone of them. Sociology studies the behavior of group of people and by what I will be learning from this subject, I can determine the behavior of my classmates. Once I determine it, I would understand why they act in such ways. It would be a lot easier to cope and be friends with them. Second impact for me is about preparing how to be professional once I entered the IT industry. Professionalism, for me, doesn’t start when we start working but when we start college. We should take college seriously as we also enjoy it of course. Intelligence is not the only key of success in knowledge but also having the right attitude. Most of the times, college is a race of passing requirements. A lot of projects are proposed and passed every period of terms and if I do not have the right attitude to do those projects on time, my projects would not be pleasing or worst is I would not be able to pass it.
If I do not have the right attitude in my studies, worse scenarios will happen like failing grades, dropped subjects and delayed in graduating. Sociology will make me realize that I should learn how to be a real student. Being a student does not mean being a happy-go-lucky person, it should be being studious. Many ask why we should study sociology when it is just a minor subject but sociology is like a major subject before we realize its objectives. With some college schools that only practice technical in their major subjects, when their students went to different companies, it is sure that they won’t last in their jobs without learning the right attitude. Sociology will help me learn having the right attitude starting from being a student. If I do not get used have that right attitude, then I would have a failing grade in my transcript now, I should be dropping my SOCI 103 now because I do not know my classmates, and I would still be first year now because of not making up my mind what I really want in my future.

Sociology is the study of social life, social change, and the social causes and consequences of human behavior. It is the study of human social life, groups and societies. It is a dazzling and compelling enterprise, having as its subject matter our own behaviour as social beings. The scope of sociology is extremely wide, ranging from the analysis of passing encounters between individuals in the street up to the investigation of world-wide social processes. Sociology asks what happens to men and by what rules they behave,not in so far as they unfold their understandable individual existences in their totalities,but in so far as they form groups and are determined by their group existence because of interaction.
Well, as a student has a big impact on my life. We all know that sociology is a mandatory thing that whether we like it or not we will encounter it as time goes by. As a student or simply as human being sociology is a great factor how your character will be build, by interacting to other people as well. Being a student we all know the saying, “No Man is an Island” yes, it is true and proven in our life, you can’t live alone that’s ignorance.
As each day passes by, we socialize with various people, from our parents obviously, friends, love ones and to those strangers that we encounter and wait what they’ll gonna be in our life in the future. We must control our actions and show respect with people as we socialize, yes respect is number one because as you encounter them and they encounter you respect must takes place from the very start because for them to know if you act like an educated human being or you simply show zero character. Sociology is the study of society as well as the pursuit of knowledge regarding human social activities however, the entity’s legitimacy as a science is a concept worth discussion. Although sociology is different at face value than the natural sciences, the two possess fundamental similarities by which problems are recognized and explained.
.This is a Structure-functionalism relies upon an "organic" analogy of human society as being "like an organism," a system of interdependent parts that function for the benefit of the whole. Sociology open my eyes in the reality and makes me understand my actions and how my past experiences build my attitudes and characteristics. My awareness increases about my acting in a particular time and place. Thus, just a human body consists of parts that function and move on there own?

* Social theories are applied, because Social workers, Psychologists, Economists, Child Care and Family Therapists, Politicians, Judges and more, all use social theories in their line of work and make decisions based on them. So the laws they implement, the policies they establish, the reasons that motivate them, these are all things that are influenced by existing social theories - and they change, so times change also.
Social theories are impacted by people, but also, the theories formed in return impact the world and daily life. It's an ongoing back and forth dialog, I think. Neither one "controls" the other - they are like yin and yang - needing the other and influencing the other.
We should study Sociology because it can affect all aspects of our lives, each and every day and learn valuable lessons from the studies and improve our living. We can use Sociology change our lives today, so that tomorrow will be better for ourselves, children, and so on. Not only is Sociology good for our lives as a person, but it is useful to our friends, families, neighbors, co-workers, government, state, country and in fact, the entire world benefits from the study of human behavior. Once we studied Sociology, we can consider and appreciate other human's perspectives/opinions instead of believing that your own perspective/opinion is the only answer. The impact of sociology course to college students may highly affect their attitude, and discipline. It develops the virtues of an intellect towards history, literature and philosophy.

Sociology takes part in our daily lives in how do we dress, the way we sit, the way we talk and the way we communicate with others. This is just a brief introduction on the impact of sociology as college students.
We college students do have our transformation period during these days, shifting from a childish one to a mature man/woman. So studying sociology is not just a part of the curriculum but it can take part on who we really are. As for example, when you interpret the people you meet, on how you interact with them and how do people react in a particular situation, THAT IS SOCIOLOGY! In addition to, we college students studying in manila came from different provinces. As we gather here to study and pursue our same dreams, our aim is not just hitting the high grades but also to make a good camaraderie with our fellow colleagues. Being with people having different cultures, attitudes and beliefs may be hard but as we study sociology we can realize why they are reacting that way.

As a student, sociology is very important to me as I socialize and interact to different people in everyday life. This is applicable in home, community, church and school. Sociology may help us how to deal with different individuals to promote unity and good relationship with others.
As a student, sociology matters in the process of education. It is not just about the knowledge, but also to develop social life. Encountering people who are different from us reminds us of how they shape our lives. In school, you have to understand why people behave such that, why they talk that way, and so on. But, it doesn't end on it; you have to accept them despite of differences. If you can't do this, then you can't be able to gain friends. In sociology we can be aware about the problem of relationship between society and the individual. We will be able to know why differences exist, and it is because of different cultures and origin. Within the classroom, there are several students and each one of us is different from one another, by means of province, language, traditions, beliefs, religion and behaviour. But it's not a problem, as long as you know how to properly interact with them. So, sociology is really important to deal with others.

The effect of sociology in my life as a student is that it encourages me to examine aspects of my social life. As I look beyond the outer appearances of our
social world, I encounter new levels of reality the essence of the sociological imagination is that we have the ability to see our private experiences and personal difficulties as we come in contact with other people and with the structural arrangements of our society and the times in which we live in today.
My sociological perspective is a part of my everyday life. We experience sociological changes if we get married, get a new job, or get discriminated against. All of these things can alter a person’s perspective on a group of people or even the world. Since the beginning of this class, I have personally endured several sociological changes in my life. I’m meeting new and wonderful people. I have also begun setting plans for my wedding to the one girl who I know will make everyday better than the one before.

These past few weeks of second term, we were briefed about the course sociology and here I have learned that sociology is a detailed study about the human society, their interactions, reactions and their development cycle pertaining to the society. This is also helpful to mankind as it explains several behavioral aspects of human behavior and also explains how human beings behave under common circumstances.
While tackling these things one quotation entered into my mind and this is “no man is an island” which was said by John Donne for it justifies what was said that the core of sociology is man and the life of every man revolves on the society where he/she lives in. Before enrolling this course I am already satisfied with the knowledge I have about the society but as I continue undertaking the subtopics I have learned that I still lack a lot of important things to take note to have a better understanding on every people that I may encounter. Honestly speaking, I take sociology for granted for I didn’t think that through sociology a lot of factors, actually most of them, was affected by it like religion, beliefs, morals, economic, political and even on the simple issues we may have in our own lives also with how people think is based on their knowledge about sociology. Now after having a few discoveries about sociology deepen my perception in life, it isn’t just a simple interrelation with other people rather it infers how people may think through their simple gestures, actions, sayings or principles in life. It is no longer the mere socializing to other people because of having fun with them but also taking note of the factors influencing the person for this may affect the relationship and interactions with the person.

It includes the analysis of social contacts between members of a society as also the interactions between different people around the world.
Sociology helps us make our lives better by knowing the different societies. It also helps us to improve the way we think about the attitude of different people in society. One of its importance is for us to better understand cultures (both past and present), which will help ease integration of multiculturalism, which is prevalent throughout many of the world's countries today (and so avoid conflict). Sociology has a deep impact in my life. As a Civil Engineer student, my knowledge shouldn't be limited to calculations only. I also need to know how to interact with others, so that I would learn how to cooperate and interact with different kinds of people. Sociology can gives us another way of understanding society and why people do what they do.If it were not for sociology, we would have only psychology for understanding why people act the way that they do. We would not be able to notice that poor people act differently from people who are not poor. We would only be able to look at individual reasons for behavior.
Without sociology how would we know why people act in their own way. There are many questions about Sociology, one of these are “the impact of Sociology in our life as a student”. But before answering this question, we must know what Sociology is? According to the Dictionary, Sociology is the Study of Society or simply it studies human interaction. It also emphasize the importance of the family, most specially our parents, which is a big part of who we are right now because they are the first one who influence us. In addition, remember that our Home is the first school we’ve all had.

As a college student we are required to take up sociology,so what good does it do me??For me sociology is life itself because the moment we are born we already start to socialize with others.
sociology gives us the knowledge how to deal with people it makes life easier, for example in a recent group work(EE related) we had, one of my friend is not productive, the way he act gave me a hint, he was more productive if he is alone, we divided the work and everything went smoothly, of course there were still little misunderstandings but the project ended up good anyways.

As a student, a friend, a son, etc., I must learn how to socialize and build a good relationship with the people around me. I know that I'd be with different people with different characters, especially with the career I'm pursuing. So I must learn how to pay respect and cope with them so that I won't be hurting or disrespecting someone. Because I don't want other people disrespecting me too. Just like what Confucius said.

Sociology makes me who I am today. How? Sociology is the combination of my past experiences. That includes where I grow up, whom I grow up with and how people treated me. My expectation of this course is to be an eye opener with regards to the society that I have lived in but as time goes by, it has already exceeded my expectation as we discuss every meeting all the vast concepts of society and how they are interrelated to one another. Sociology teaches me about theories and principles in life and perspective of philosophers regarding their view with the society. Moreover, these teachings can further improve my relationship with other people and create a huge impact about my everyday life through the changes in the way I think or perceive people, things, events and etc. It also enlightens me about the reason why other people may have this kind of point of view towards a subject matter or the way they react about their surroundings.
Sociology makes me reflect and understand my actions and how my past experiences build the personality I have as of the moment. It increases my awareness about the reasons why I act like that in a particular time and place. It teaches us to think 'outside of the box' and explore other ideas. It explains and gives reasons as to why our everyday lives work that way pertaining to our culture and how it affects our personality. It also gives information about the good values we should learn in order to develop our emotional quotient as a person. I’ve learned that the true aim of education is intelligence plus character as per Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and I think that this is the course that concentrates in molding our character as a student.
We try to recognize and understand our own character and personality as we go through our life long journey. I believe that this subject will contribute and help me grow as a responsible student. In sociology we have to clearly understand the structural aspects of the society. Studying these aspects will help us know how different race, families, values, religion and beliefs works.
We all started with nothing, but as we grow up we gain knowledge because of the people around us. Our parents, they are our first teachers and our home is our first school. They play a big part of who we are, because they are the first who teaches us different things most especially our discipline in ourselves. During my 2nd year high school, I transferred from Batangas to Manila because of family reasons. At first it is very hard for me to adjust because I don’t have friends there but as the day goes by I learned to mingle with them and I’m very happy because I gained friends and I find people who accept me despite of our differences. In this life we will encounter different people with different personalities, culture, beliefs and so on. But we don’t need to be like them, the only thing that we need to do is do not judged them at first and always keep in mind that we all have differences in order for us to relate with them.
Sociology has a great impact in my life and in the future. Importantly, sociology will help me to develop cognitive understandings which in turn will help me develop into mature individuals in my community with a sense of vocation in my work, an ethic of service and a lifestyle that reflects personal integrity and social responsibility. Sociology to us is a study of human life within a society and sociology involves the study of society, social space and social activity.
Sociology will help you to have a better understanding of politics and public policy, as well as the motivations behind people's decisions and feelings.
Some describe the relationship between sociology and psychology as "macro" and "micro." As in, sociology is similar to psychology, except it treats people as members of a group, rather than as individuals.
Sociology teaches you about all kinds of different world cultures and how these people interact with each other within their societies. It's a good way to step outside of your box and get some education on the struggles and acheivements of mankind in the quest to stay alive and carry on their genes and traditions.
So the impact of sociology might help you to understand general things about people before you even meet them. It can help you to understand why people do seemingly irrational things. It can also help you to see social problems, things that are often addressed in politics, with a deeper, broader understanding, and thus be a more educated voter or perhaps leader.
So the benefits are many. I recommend that every college student, regardless of their major, take at least one sociology class, if not a minor.

As a student, what is the impact of sociology in my daily life?
One important study of sociology is the study of everyday social life. Everyday when we wake up and come into contact with what you do and the people you speak to is sociological. When we wake up in the morning, we interact with many things. It can be your clothes, your school projects, music, and etc. We use sociology in many ways everyday. For example, when you interpret the people you meet and how you behave around them. Or when you go to school, or church, you know what's expected of you and you know how to act in the way that is labeled, we act normal or we act correctly. It is in sociology that the student learns the logical functions of class inclusion, class relationship and class organization.
So sociology is in our daily life. We socialize with people or things around us everyday. Socializing with my classmates or professors has a great impact in me. I encounter different kinds of people, which is helpful for me when I’m already working as an engineer. I can easily get my clients if I can obtain their trust. And to obtain their trust, I have to socialize with them.

Life as we all know it is a continual change proceeding to death, but it is a state of aspect that a human being should enjoy each and every moment of their time together with the one they love.
Sociology gives me more knowledge in precise, but it so hard to say that I was blown into different direction in which I was now on a severe mode of my circumstances. My life as a student is just like what other does. It is just a matter of survival. There are times that too many people will come to our way and got social inter-act with them, yet mingling with them might adopt their culture too without any noticing it, in fact we become just one of them “hell yea men, welcome to the group”. Students who have that kind of scenario will trigger a lot of problem in the process. I remember my Dad told me, “bring your friends here, and I tell you, who you really are now!” I was extremely intense and frightened that day if they will know such thing that they didn’t know about me. I’m just lucky having a parent that will always there to guide me. Sociology does me some concerns with the social rules and processes that bind and separate people not only as individuals, but as members of associations, groups, and institutions. In addition, it also gives me interesting part in our behavior as social beings; thus the sociological field of interest ranges from the analysis of short contacts between any people as to the study of social processes. Now that sociology gives me broader outlook to my social life and more concerned with analyzing the possibilities in my surroundings. It helps me to find ways in which social behavior and structures can be explained.
I admit that the eyes of the intellectually and culturally lively tend to glaze over at the mere mention of sociology, often with ample justification.

Sociology is concerned with all group activities like economic, social, political, and religious. Sociologists study such areas as bureaucracy, community, deviant behavior, family, public opinion, social change, social mobility, social stratification, and such specific problems as crime, divorce, child abuse, and substance addiction. Sociology tries to determine the laws governing human behavior in social aspects.
For me as a student, Sociology has a big impact because it is the study of one’s life and in our society. In my opinion, studying one’s life is easy to find solutions why there are many people manner like that. In taking this subject, l can say that I know what character he has because of his habit and doing daily activities. It has a big impact to me because when you judge someone the first came to your mind is a negative thought like “MASAMANG TAO TO. ANG PANGET NG MUKHA EH!” But now I know why that first impression who always came in one’s mind because we express and feel emotions.

We all know what sociology is concerned, in the broadest sense, which is the study of human society. The scope of sociology is almost limitless. To have sociology of any activity in which human being engage, by principle, there is no end when it comes to human development.
Throughout the chapters of my life, sociology has always been behind me, although I never realized the principles of this until I have taken Sociology this second term. I learned that sociology is not “common sense”, it like saying that it is not a valid reason to say that a poor person is poor because he is lazy or stupid. This applies that I must not judge a person immediately by its cover. Sociology has changed the way I look at the world. My past experiences served as my guideline to my journey. As a civil engineering student, I must not always rely on my technical skills in math and science to achieve success but also, I need to know the basic principles of sociology as one day I shall encounter clients in the industry with different personality, behaviour, culture, and religion.
Every day we socialize with different kinds of people, from our parents, up to the strangers we encounter around. We must control our language, and show respect as we socialize with this people. In sociology, every day we learn different values, and every day we must learn something from it.

According to Anthony Giddens, sociology is the study of human social life, groups in societies. As a student, the impact of sociology for me has many significant things to absorb and to apply in real life. A school is an example of a small society. We might met different kinds of attitudes of people.
While I socialize in school, at the same time I am trying to observe the attitudes of the people I am with. Because we need to know their mindsets, likes, dislikes and interests. We need to accept what attitude/personality they have. Because if we do not accept the personality they have,there are some things that are not agreeable because of different visions or own understanding. And also, as we socialize, we are able to adapt some attitude from that society because of being always together until it creates a concept called harmony and develop in a small society called SCHOOL. But in some cases,we can not avoid discriminating each other. It's because of their different place of origin and maybe their culture. That thing creates an expression, "ugali mo talaga asal.." that defines that "I don't like what you did, and don't do that anymore." These line I commonly heard in groups of friends(barkada) that considering each other more than friends. or in filipino, (hindi na iba).
In conclusion, in meeting other people, be neutral. Be equal. Socialize as if you can jive on their likes. In simple word, sociology is about man's role in a certain place. You can find the level of a person in a given society.

Sociology is defined in many terms but for me, the best definition would be it is the study of the behavior of society. It explains several behavioral aspects of human behavior and also explains how human beings behave under common circumstances. In this subject, I would learn how to deal with different characteristics of people that surrounds me. As a student, specifically an irregular type, most of the time I would not know who my classmates are as a new term starts so I should learn how to deal with in order for me not to be out of place in their class. Secondly, I will be an IT professional when I graduate; the environment is larger and has more people to deal with. The most important thing that sociology will teach me is being an understanding individual.
Being an irregular student is very challenging. First, I would not know who my classmates are and worse is if I do not know anyone of them. Sociology studies the behavior of group of people and by what I will be learning from this subject, I can determine the behavior of my classmates. Once I determine it, I would understand why they act in such ways. It would be a lot easier to cope and be friends with them. Second impact for me is about preparing how to be professional once I entered the IT industry. Professionalism, for me, doesn’t start when we start working but when we start college. We should take college seriously as we also enjoy it of course. Intelligence is not the only key of success in knowledge but also having the right attitude. Most of the times, college is a race of passing requirements. A lot of projects are proposed and passed every period of terms and if I do not have the right attitude to do those projects on time, my projects would not be pleasing or worst is I would not be able to pass it.
If I do not have the right attitude in my studies, worse scenarios will happen like failing grades, dropped subjects and delayed in graduating. Sociology will make me realize that I should learn how to be a real student. Being a student does not mean being a happy-go-lucky person, it should be being studious. Many ask why we should study sociology when it is just a minor subject but sociology is like a major subject before we realize its objectives. With some college schools that only practice technical in their major subjects, when their students went to different companies, it is sure that they won’t last in their jobs without learning the right attitude. Sociology will help me learn having the right attitude starting from being a student. If I do not get used have that right attitude, then I would have a failing grade in my transcript now, I should be dropping my SOCI 103 now because I do not know my classmates, and I would still be first year now because of not making up my mind what I really want in my future.

It is a dazzling and compelling enterprise, having as its subject matter our own behaviour as social beings. The scope of sociology is extremely wide, ranging from the analysis of passing encounters between individuals in the street up to the investigation of world-wide social processes. Sociology asks what happens to men and by what rules they behave,not in so far as they unfold their understandable individual existences in their totalities,but in so far as they form groups and are determined by their group existence because of interaction.
Well, as a student has a big impact on my life. We all know that sociology is a mandatory thing that whether we like it or not we will encounter it as time goes by. As a student or simply as human being sociology is a great factor how your character will be build, by interacting to other people as well. Being a student we all know the saying, “No Man is an Island” yes, it is true and proven in our life, you can’t live alone that’s ignorance.

Although sociology is different at face value than the natural sciences, the two possess fundamental similarities by which problems are recognized and explained.
.This is a Structure-functionalism relies upon an "organic" analogy of human society as being "like an organism," a system of interdependent parts that function for the benefit of the whole. Sociology open my eyes in the reality and makes me understand my actions and how my past experiences build my attitudes and characteristics. My awareness increases about my acting in a particular time and place. Thus, just a human body consists of parts that function and move on there own?

* Social theories are applied, because Social workers, Psychologists, Economists, Child Care and Family Therapists, Politicians, Judges and more, all use social theories in their line of work and make decisions based on them. So the laws they implement, the policies they establish, the reasons that motivate them, these are all things that are influenced by existing social theories - and they change, so times change also.
Social theories are impacted by people, but also, the theories formed in return impact the world and daily life. It's an ongoing back and forth dialog, I think. Neither one "controls" the other - they are like yin and yang - needing the other and influencing the other.
